Organisations like the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) act as gatekeepers or supervisors; inspecting refiners producing Good Delivery Bars to ensure their quality, but also monitoring refiners at the point of production to establish whether or not a company is meeting expected standards with regards product quality, consistency, worker safety and environmental care.

London Bullion Market Association
The London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) is a trade organisation which has existed since 1987. As described above, the organisation operates in a regulatory capacity; ensuring that bullion refiners meet the minimum recommended specification for bullion in the UK. This places select refiners on the Good Delivery list; a trusted who's who of the most reliable and capable bullion refiners in the world.
