The 2023 1oz Britannia gold coin contains 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams) of pure gold, and is sure to remain one of the first choices for all UK investors. The 2023 Britannia coins will be the last in the series featuring Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and will be a limited mintage for the remainder of 2022. A new range of King Charles III Britannia coins will then be released in the new year.

The reverse is the Lady Britannia the design first issued in 2021, which includes the Royal Mint's advanced security measures, such as:
