Proof Royal Mint Harry Potter Series

The Harry Potter books have become a staple of British literature, capturing the imaginations of multiple generations. One of the most successful collections of books and films in history, the cultural phenomenon is a prime candidate for The Royal Mint to delve into. These coins will be limited mintages, so collectors are recommended to secure yours as soon as possible.
The first coins in the Proof Harry Potter coin collection feature the iconic titular character. The Boy Who Lived, Harry Potter, with a design by Jim Kay from the 2015 illustrated version of the book. The first design is available in a coloured 50p issue, as well as a 1oz silver coin. The initial Harry Potter coin features the final portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The second coin in the series features the Hogwarts Express, the train used by students to reach the wizarding school. Leaving from platform 9 & 3/4 in London, the steam engine locomotive is the setting to many classic scenes from the stories. The second coin also features the final portrait of Elizabeth II and it is expected the series will move to the new Charles III portrait going forward.
Each coin features a special 25 mark, for the anniversary of the publication of The Philosopher's Stone.
