Silver Royal Arms
The Royal Arms coins were a new addition to The Royal Mint’s roster. Released in 2019, the silver Royal Arms coins are also struck in gold, and feature the classic British symbol on the reverse of the coin.
Denominated at £2, the silver Royal Arms joins the Britannia in being one of the few silver coins that is exempt from CGT, making them a great choice for investors as well as collectors.
Royal Arms Silver Coin
The Royal Arms are one of the heraldic symbols of Britain, and have been used for centuries. The obverse of the Royal Arms silver coin features the traditional image of Queen Elizabeth II, while the reverse side shows an exquisitely detailed image of the Royal Arms symbol often seen on the UK pound coin. As with the majority of bullion coins from The Royal Mint, the Royal Arms is struck in pure, 999 fine silver.
Two French phrases; “HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE” and “DIEU ET MON DROIT” are featured prominently alongside a lion and unicorn. Learn more about each phrase by clicking the appropriate link.
